Valentines and Heart Theme

Print; laminate and trim.  Students play Memory Match or "I Have; Who Has?" games.  I've included a cover if you want each child to make an Itty Bitty Valentine Color booklet.

Students match word cards to their contractions.  (61-contractions are included) Children can also pick several cards and then write either the contraction or the words, depending on which cards they choose. For other activities, have students alphabetize the cards, sort them by color, sort them by vowels etc.

If you celebrate 100 Day in February, you may want to include some conversation candy hearts in your activities.  I have all sorts of candy heart packets and made this one especially for 100 Day.

Doing a word search is a fun way to reinforce vocabulary words as well as spelling.  This would be a fun game for your Valentine's Day party.  Award a sticker to the first one done, or the one who has the most words found when the timer rings.  Includes an answer key + links to more valentine word fun, including crossword puzzles.

How many words can you make using the letters in valentines?  Challenge your students to find as many as they can before the timer rings.

100 ways to say "I love you."  Have your students choose one, and find that country on the map.

9 pages. 5 different sample valentines using the periodic chart to make words. Use my templates or challenge students to think up their own.
