Help your students remember the 4 seasons with this poster poem. This FREEBIE is part of the Months & Seasons Emergent Reader packet in my TpT shop. Click on the link to pop on over. For your convenience, I've included a PREVIEW here, along with the free poster.
Help your students remember how many days there are in each month with this up-dated nursery rhyme poster poem.
Doing countdown activities, help little ones wrap their heads around the concept of time. They're also a quick, easy and fun way to practice numbers, as well as counting backwards. The packet also includes a traceable calendar page for December, with a blank template if you want students to write in their own numbers.
Lots of standards are covered with this interesting, snowman-themed emergent reader, as students read the repetitive sentences, circle capital letters, add end punctuation, trace and write the words, and color the pictures. Days of the week + color words are reinforced.
Your students will enjoy making these snowmen with a moveable carrot nose. Choose whatever standard you want your kiddo's to work on: upper and lowercase letter identification, counting by 1's, skip counting by 2's, 3's, 5's or 10's, or use on your December or January calendar to countdown the days. These are a great way to whole-group assess as well. Students could also partner up and quiz each other.
Spice things up each month with a variety of seasonal Letter of the Day anchor charts. Laminate and use every year, or print and compile a Letter of the Week class book. Great for calendar time.
