    Room Recess

RoomRecess.com was developed entirely by an elementary school teacher with the goal of reinforcing fundamental learning concepts in math, reading, spelling, language arts, and basic problem solving. Because their website is entirely free, students do not have to sign up or hold an account. They simply load up an activity and have fun learning while they play!

My personal favorites are "Snowball Fight Addition" and "Antonym Match."

One of my all-time favorites! This is a wonderful way to get kids interested in the uppercase alphabet letters. They love animals and seeing the letters all jumbled up and making an animal that starts with that letter. The animal noises and bright colors add to the FANTASTIC fun!

Outstanding site with a huge selection of interactive games and activities for preschool and a bit older children. One of my favorites is clicking on a letter and watching an adorable spider write each individual letter. Students can then try their hand at writing the letter as well.

    Online Coloring
Outstanding Online coloring site for kids. Alphabetized list from Aesop's Fables to Zodiac Signs. Very current! They even have a Tayor Swift picture to color. Themes teachers will like: alphabet, holidays, fairy tales, nursery rhymes, & numbers (with sets). What makes it cool: Children can print, e-mail, post to Facebook, and the top artists are listed, as well as work is posted. You can also save your work in your own personal gallery!

Students can choose from 4 different kinds of graphs, input their data and create colorful graphs for their papers and projects. Great for teachers to use on smart-boards to explain the various ways to graph. A fun culmination to data entry.

This site is done by the young daughter of DLTK's webmaster. I let my Y5's know this when I send them to this site on a Web Quest. They think it's pretty cool that a "kid" has their own website that they manage. I do too! Highlites: Magic Tricks!and Animal Facts

    colormountain.com
This is an interactive site where children can click and color online. My favorites: Connect the dots and color a variety of themed pictures. I use this site for my students to gain computer skills, because it's easy for them to understand and increases their fine motor skills. They also enjoy it.

    www.playtonium.com
This is a fun memory game for your kids to play that will help them review the alphabet. It's called Alpha-zoo and looks like the original Memory-Match game so it's an easy game for them to play independently! Children have to match the letter to the animal.

    http://www.americaslibrary.gov/
This link is sponsored by the Library of Congress in Washington DC. It is the largest library and our National Library. This is an awesome site for History and Geography and just plain fun trivia with interesting stories. They have 5 main buttons: Meet Amazing Americans, Jump Back In Time, Join America At Play, and See Hear and Sing. A search key makes things even easier to find what you're looking for. 3 of my favorite features are send a postcard, find out what was happening on your birthday, and explore the states.

This Site has story books, coloring pages, games and is very kid friendly and easy to navigate. A nice site for an independent computer station in your classroom to review numbers and the alphabet. I especially like the Mommy and Me storybook and the 1-9 counting book for a cute review for little ones. They also have a nice alphabet memory match game that is challenging.
