This quick, easy and fun game is perfect for the last day of school before Thanksgiving break.  It reinforces counting and using critical thinking skills.  The game is simple, but there's strategy involved if you want to be the winner.

Children pick a partner and take turns rolling the dice. Rolling a 1, 2, 3, or 4 takes you forward that many spaces, but a roll of 5 takes you 2 boxes backwards, while a roll of 6 loses your turn.  If you land on a dotted space, you can take the short cut "bridge". The first student to get their Mayflower ship to  America is the winner.
