The packet includes an emergent reader shape booklet featuring 2D shapes; (including the hexagon, pentagon & octagon).

Students circle capital letters, add end punctuation, trace & write the shape words, then trace and draw the shapes. 

There are also patterns for large Lorax creatures sporting the different 2D shapes. Use them as anchor charts and flashcards, or for a bulletin board or games.  

For a sweet craftivity, children choose their favorite shape and make a Lorax of their own.  Adding wiggle eyes, accordion-folded legs and a hand print mustache give it that finishing touch.
