Make the large turkey head shapes and use them for a cute November bulletin board, review or interesting way to assess. Students can choose their favorite shape and turn it into the body of a turkey by adding the construction paper parts.
Students pick a partner and take turns spinning. Whatever shape they land on , they color the matching shape on their turkey. The first child to color in all of the turkey's feathers is the winner.

I think your students will really enjoy all of these lessons related to Pilgrim children. The packet is filled with a nice variety of interesting writing activities to help your students learn more about this time period, as well as a dozen colonial games and 2 measurement activities to do outdoors.

Set this up as a center with laminated pieces, or run off copies for students to cut and glue to the number grids. You can also mix up all 3 puzzles and make a puzzle flip booklet.
