Why not have your students help create the decorations for your classroom with this cute frog-themed "welcome" banner.  On the 1st day of school, when things are hectic, it's nice to have an independent activity that students can do.

The caption reads: "We are leaping right into (Pre K4, preschool, kindergarten through 3rd grade." The "saying" portion of the banner also comes in black and white. The frog-face pennants spell out welcome.

So that you have enough "pieces" for each child, do a duplicate to hang back-to-back, so that your banner looks great from both sides.  Suspend it across the ceiling of your room or hallway.  For more pizzazz add ribbon bows between each letter and on both ends of the banner. 

This could also be an end-of-the-year activity, where this year's kiddos create and hang the banner to welcome your new students in the fall.
