Why not have your students help create the decorations for your classroom with this cute cowboy-themed "welcome" banner perfect for Western-decorated classrooms!  On the 1st day, when things are hectic, it's nice to have an independent activity that students can do.

The caption for this banner is: "We are going to have a rootin' tootin' time in preschool (kindergarten, 1st grade)"  The "saying" portion of the banner, also comes in black and white. 

So that you have enough "pieces" for each child, do a duplicate to hang back-to-back, so that your banner looks great from both sides.  Suspend it across the ceiling of your room or hallway.  For more pizzazz add ribbon bows, between each letter and a bandana on both ends of the banner.
