After reading Dr. Seuss' (Theo. Lesieg) Ten Apples Up On Top , have students write their name on red, green and yellow apples and then glue them in an ABCABC pattern, on top of their head shot.
Remind little ones to start with the last letter in their name. Have them lay it out first, before they glue. I enlarged students 1st day of school photo, but if you don't want to do that, children can draw a self-portrait.
Have each child share their apple-head, counting the apples out loud, and then graphing that child's name. These look sweet hanging on their lockers, or suspended from the ceiling back-to-back.
This FREEBIE is part of my 50-page Keepsake name writing packet in my TpT shop. For your convenience, I've included a PREVIEW here.
