A terrific easy reader for young students that includes wonderful math extensions. Adorable animal numbers with googly eyes, help students count to nine.
Children trace and then write the number, and then stamp that many in the boxes provided. Using a bingo dot dauber makes perfect "eyes". Having students use 2 different colors and making a pattern, teaches and reinforces yet another standard.
Includes:
- An anchor chart of numbers 1-9. This makes a nice "Point to..." assessment tool.
- 9 matching animal number flashcards so students can make an Itty Bitty booklet. Make extra sets to play Memory Match or "I Have; Who Has?" games.
- I cut these cards down, glued them to Popsicle sticks, added wiggle eyes and made manipulatives to use during story time, counting songs etc. These could also be used as a center for students to sequence.
- Counting Bookmark
- 2 certificates of praise. One for counting the other for recognizing numbers.
