Venn diagrams are a quick, easy and fun way to introduce the concept of comparison and contrast writing.  Choosing a partner to make a "Pumpkin Venn Friend" with, is an interesting way to do that.  What a fun way for students to get to know each other too.

To help students complete their Venn diagram and jumpstart the writing process, I've included a list of 40 questions they can choose to discuss with their partner.
