A file folder flip for facts activity, is a nice introduction to doing research, finding facts and putting them in your own words. It's a great precursor to doing a report and is simple enough for kinders to do.

Includes tips and links for how to do Online citations, plus several pages of penny facts, and a sample file folder, so you can easily make an example to share with your students.  

I suggest 3-5 sources.  Students can simply write a number after their fact that corresponds with their numbered sources, that they've listed on a separate page.  Have children glue their "bibliography" to the back, or left hand side of the inside of their folder.
