Rolling For The Gold is an easy, quick and fun way to review ordinal numbers with an Olympic twist.
Students pick a partner and take turns rolling a dice. If they roll a one they color the first ring blue, if they roll a three they color the third ring black and so on; however, if they roll the dreaded six, they lose their turn. The 1st child to color all of their rings is the winner.
I've included certificates for the winners as well as for participating. Giving children a gold star sticker would be a nice touch. There's also a colorful poster to hang up so that students know which rings to color the various colors + a trace and write ordinal number worksheet.
