Having a WOW (Wonderful Outstanding Word) for the day is one way we build, using science and math vocabulary as our "magic words" when I incorporate a few magic tricks in our lessons is another way, and sending home a list of new words that we will be using that month in Take Home Folders is yet another way. I feel it helps to get parents on board so that they can reinforce lessons at home by incorporating the vocabulary in discussions at home.
