1-2-3 Come Make A Memory Booklet With Me!

Since I truly enjoy designing stuff, I like to give all sorts of options to my visitors.  Because the Memory Books I've created have been such popular downloads, I thought I'd putz with some more memory-making activities.

school memory books, memory book alternatives, file folder memory book, easy memory book, end of the year writing prompts, writing prompts for the end of the year, writing prompts for June, free school memory book, easy memory bookletI wanted to come up with something a little less involved for teachers who are in a time-crunch, so I used my "flip for facts file folder" idea and designed something that would be perfect for a mini memory booklet

I call it "These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things..." and even included the first musical bar from the sheet music, for that finishing touch on the template.

school memory books, memory book alternatives, file folder memory book, easy memory book, end of the year writing prompts, writing prompts for the end of the year, writing prompts for June, free school memory book, easy memory bookletI've included templates for preschool through fifth grade, plus a blank one to fill in with whatever.  Make a sample to share with your students to help explain what you want them to do.

To save you time, I've included the inside page that I dreamed up, if you want to use it.  To expedite things, especially for little ones, pre-cut the folders, so that the templates fit nicely on the page.

A room helper can assist little ones, or send the page home for parents to work one-on-one with their child to fill in and then send back to assemble.

To add a bit more pizzazz, have students choose a different colored marker/pencil to write each answer.   Adding a school photo at the top adds the finishing touch.

1-2-3 Come Make A Cupcake With Me

Since the end-of-the-year writing prompts have been such popular downloads, I decided to make a few more. I hope you enjoy these new FREEBIES.

"cupcake crafts, end of the year activities, end of the year writing prompts, writing prompts for june, end of the year bookmarks, current students writing notes to next year's studentsSweet!" has come to mean wonderful, awesome, great, as well as a sugary taste, so I thought I'd create the prompt: "_____________ (fill in your grade level) was really sweet because..."

It didn't take long to decide that a cupcake would be the perfect "craftivity"for this June writing prompt

Your students can make the cupcake for themselves or for one of your new students who will be coming in the fall.  What a nice surprise for them to find this cute card in/on their desk the first day of school, with a note from a former student

I've included templates for preschool through 3rd grade, plus a blank one to fill in with whatever.

cupcake crafts, end of the year activities, end of the year writing prompts, writing prompts for june, end of the year bookmarks, current students writing notes to next year's studentsIf you don't want to do the cupcake craft, I've also included a simpler option.

Run off the black and white cupcake bookmark that says: "Wishing you a sweet year!"  Students color the cupcake and write something underneath the greeting.

If you'd like to give your students more practice, have them write why they thought this grade was sweet, on the back.  To make this even more personal, print off your class composite, cut the students' heads into ovals, and have them glue their photo somewhere on the bookmark next to their name.

1-2-3 Come Do Some Interesting "Craftivities" With Me

Congratulations!  You're heading down the home stretch.  The first and last month of school arrive quickly and seem to be the most hectic.

end of the year activities, may writing prompts, june writing prompts, back to school bulletin boards, letters to next years students, bee crafts, bee activities, tree crafts, tree activities, hand arm trees, 3D tree, apple tree activities, daily 5 for may, daily 5 for june, end of the year crafts, end of the year writing prompts, One of the things that helped me check a few more things off my "to do" list, was several "Welcome Back To School" activities and bulletin boards that my current students made for my next year's kiddos.

This served a dual purpose, as it gave my Y5's something to do when I was running out of ideas for make up snow days, plus accomplished decorating and making a few things, so I didn't have to do them by myself come August.

Since Kindergarten and Y5's had the same lunch hour it was fun for them to look for their older new friend.  Simply use any apple dicut.  We ran ours through a crinkle machine.

With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to design several things that your current sweeties could make for your incoming kiddos, as well as a keepsake for themselves if you wanted to do the entire packet.

The caption here is: I had a "tree-mendous" year in __________ grade.

The treetop is 3D as students cut out two, fold them in half and then glue one side of them together.   Add some red circles (apples) to the flat side and have students write some of their very favorite things, people, and places that revolved around that grade.  Add a photo for the finishing touch.
